UPDATE - Industrial action at Heathrow airport

Europe's busiest, and the UK's largest, airport faces industrial action with around 4,000 Heathrow staff including security guards and engineers planning to strike in a dispute over pay.

Strikes are planned for the following dates:

  • 26th and 27th of July,
  • 5th and 6th of August and
  • 23rd and 24th of August 

UPDATE AS OF 14th August, 16:00 BST 

We have been advised that the planned industrial action at Heathrow on Friday, 23rd August and Saturday, 24th August has been suspended whilst they consult members on an improved pay offer. The ballot opened yesterday (12 August) and will close on Monday, 2nd September.
