Disruption at Australian Port Terminals as Industrial Action Continues

Due to ongoing negotiations on new contracts for port operations workers, main terminal operator DP World Australia has announced an extension of strikes initiated by the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) until 6th November.

Daily work bans and stoppages, lasting between 2 to 24 hours, will impact DP World terminals in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Fremantle. Offloading lead times will increase from 2 to 7-8 days with concerns rising on potential product shortages with the holiday season approaching.

We will continue to monitor the situation and take all possible actions to mitigate any disruptions to your supply chain. Should you have any questions, please reach out to us here.
