Alastair Cook retires from International Cricket
England's highest test run-scorer Alastair Cook shall retire from international Cricket as a "beacon for his sport", says ex-captain Graham Gooch.
Cook, 33, announced that this week's final test against India will be his last game for his country.
The batsman has scored 12,254 runs and made an incredible 32 centuries in 160 Tests - all England records.
Having worked closely with Essex Cricket and Alastair for the past 7 years, we would like to thank him for the many fantastic memories and congratulate him on his impressive international career!
