Disruption at the Channel Tunnel
Traffic built up on Tuesday, 5th March, around the French port of Calais causing considerable delays as customs officers worked to rule, carrying out tighter checks on lorries heading for the Channel Tunnel and the ferry port.
It has been brought to our attention that a number of hauliers and parcel networks bound for Europe are likely to incur a 24 to 48 hour delay at the port, this will affect traffic coming both ways through the Channel Tunnel.
We expect disruption at the Channel Tunnel to continue throughout the week. We will be keeping customers updated on their individual shipments, and will be posting regular updates of any further developments.
