The impact of COVID-19 on ocean freight solutions from Asia into Europe and the UK has been significant with more than 450 blank sailings having been confirmed up until now, resulting in a decline of 7 million TEU in 2020.
Please be advised that additional blank sailing programmes have been confirmed as alliances endeavour to balance the continued reduced demand into Q3 of 2020.
This will result in significant impact on space in what is traditionally a very busy season.

- Please advise your suppliers to book as early as possible to secure space (2-3 weeks in advance of sailing).
- Make use of our space protection offering: A forecast of anticipated volumes during this period will allow us to secure and protect space and manage the severely reduced capacity.
