Thyphoon In-Fa impact on China ports

As typhoon In-Fa pulls away from Japan and Taiwan this weekend, having intensified into a Category 3 tropical cyclone and peaked on Thursday, the storm will head toward eastern China with impact expected in Zhejiang and Shanghai on Sunday.

As a result, the following measures have been taken at China ports, and more may be taken as the intensity and path of the storm develops:

(1) Ningbo terminal has announced it will “stop the pick up of containers“ at 02:00 pm today until further notice

(2)    Shanghai terminal is still operational for the time being but will announce actions to be taken locally as the storm gets closer

Vessel movements will be impacted with shipment delays and blank sailings (= cancellations of sailings) expected at Shanghai / Ningbo next week.

We will continue to keep you updated as the situation develops.
