Restriction on plastic scrap importing into Thailand announced

Considering the recent measures taken by the government authorities and ports to restrict plastic scrap and electronics & electronic appliances (used), the decision has been made to avoid long idling of future import containers for these commodities. The HS codes and commodity names affected are as mentioned below

HS code Commodity Name:
• 003205 Plastic, Plastic Articles, Used
• 001405 Electronics, electronic appliances, audio, video equipment, telecommunication equipment, Used

Thailand Authorities have the right to reject cargo that fails to comply with the above and hold relevant parties responsible for any charges incurred.
