The Finance Manager will report to the Global Financial Controller and be an integral part of the Finance team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of the financial reporting for the global business and requires interaction with both external and internal stakeholders within the Woodland Global division.

About the role:

Management of AP and AR functions through setting of objectives and monitoring performance

VAT & Duty Reconciliations for WGB – By mid-month

Oversee preparation, investigation, and resolution of Balance Sheet reconciliations

Management of accruals and prepayments

Oversee and provide cover for Fixed Assets – Maintenance of schedules, disposals, and depreciation postings

IFRS16 accounting

Assistance in month-end closure

Department and cost centre analysis

Budget and forecast preparation and business partnering

Ad hoc Month-end journals

Providing profit and loss reporting and analysis

Assisting with month and year-end closure and audit

Contribute to ONS completion / review

Building and maintaining external and internal relationships

Ad hoc reporting

Cash Flow forecast and Treasury cover

Closing cash books

Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Tax pack completion for all Group entities

Group wide tax computation / Estimate

Reconciliation of Tax payment estimation

Statutory account preparation for group companies

Key point of liaison with auditors

Collaborating with the Finance team to continuously improve processes and business performance

Supporting changes in the role necessary to advance the department and business

1-2-1’s for team members and setting of SMART objectives

Working towards achieving personal objectives set during appraisal and/or those established monthly or quarterly

Personal Specification

You have previous experience in a similar role

You have audit experience

You have advanced MS Excel skills

You are well organised, prioritising and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment;

You have the ability to work thoroughly, methodically with an excellent attention to detail;

You can work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as key stakeholders across the group;

You have the natural ability and enjoy building and maintaining strong working relationships;

You excel with a team environment as well as being able to work autonomously when required;

You are flexible, adaptable, and open minded and respond well to the ever-changing priorities and challenges while remaining calm and focussed on getting the job done;

You are proactive looking at ways to improve processes and have the initiative to put them forward and where possible into practice;

You actively seek ways to enhance your knowledge and improve your performance; and

You are self-motivated, have huge drive and ambition – you thrive off achieving great success and helping to build a great place to work!
