Woodland Group has once again achieved a Gold EcoVadis Sustainability Rating, with a score of 79 out of 100, placing us in the 97th percentile of companies assessed worldwide.

This result reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible business practices and to building sustainable supply chains for our clients, partners, and communities.

Our 2025 score demonstrates consistent strength across EcoVadis’ four key themes:

  • Environment: 90/100
  • Labour & Human Rights: 78/100
  • Ethics: 72/100
  • Sustainable Procurement: 74/100

The recognition builds on continued progress made across the business over the past year. Key developments include:

  • Completing a Double Materiality Assessment in late 2024/early 2025, providing a clearer understanding of environmental and social impacts across our operations.
  • Achieving ISO45001 certification, ensuring an externally assured management system for health and safety.
  • Becoming a recognised US SmartWay Transport Partner.
  • Diverting 90% of our waste from landfill in 2024.
  • Transitioning over 90% of material handling equipment to electric.
  • Reducing electricity-related emissions by 42% compared to 2022, largely through significant on-site solar installations.
  • Increasing the use of HVO fuel to 13% of total fleet fuel, saving 1,341 metric tonnes of CO2e (well-to-wheel) in 2024.

EcoVadis assessments are a valuable tool in providing transparency and benchmarking our performance against international standards. They also guide us in identifying areas for further improvement and engaging meaningfully with stakeholders on sustainability. Much of this progress, and the priorities that lie ahead, are explored in detail in our 2024 Sustainability Report, which sets out how we are embedding change across all aspects of our operations.

Woodland Group remains committed to advancing its sustainability journey and to working closely with clients, partners, and industry peers to drive meaningful change across global supply chains. The EcoVadis Gold rating provides not only recognition of what has been achieved, but also a benchmark to build upon ensuring accountability and focus as we continue to shape a more sustainable future.
