Woodland Group has been recognised as a 2026 Good Business Pays Fast Payer, placing us among the top-performing large UK businesses for paying suppliers quickly and on time.

The Good Business Pays Fast Payer Award recognises large companies that demonstrate consistently strong payment performance, based on payment data reported to the UK Department for Business and Trade.

To qualify for the award, businesses must pay suppliers in 27 days or less on average and pay 95% or more of invoices on time – criteria achieved by only around 10% of large UK companies.

The recognition reflects Woodland Group’s commitment to building strong, responsible relationships with the businesses and suppliers that support our operations.

Recognising responsible payment practices

Timely payment can have a significant impact on businesses throughout the supply chain, particularly smaller suppliers where predictable cash flow is important to day-to-day operations and longer-term investment.

The Fast Payer Award provides independent recognition of businesses demonstrating strong payment practices, with accreditation based on reported payment performance rather than self-declared information.

Woodland Group representatives attended the 2026 Fast Payer Awards Reception at the House of Lords in London, joining other recognised businesses to celebrate the role that responsible payment practices can play in supporting stronger business relationships and supply chains.

UK payment performance under increasing focus

The recognition comes as payment practices among large businesses in the UK are becoming increasingly visible.

For financial years beginning on or after 1 January 2026, qualifying large UK companies are required to include information on their payment practices and performance within their Directors’ Reports under new UK reporting regulations.

Further changes to UK payment practices have also been proposed through the Commercial Payments Bill, including a maximum 60-day payment term for commercial contracts, subject to limited exemptions and the legislation completing its passage through Parliament.

Together, these developments reflect the increasing focus on transparency and responsible payment practices across UK business.
