Woodland Group is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our site at the iPort in Doncaster on nights, 7pm - 7am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, £28,500. The Warehouse Operative will support the safe, efficient loading and unloading of trailers. Working as part of a fast-paced warehouse operation, you’ll be responsible for preparing pallets, securing goods, and ensuring trailers are turned around in line with the daily plan. You will work closely with FLT Drivers and Team Leaders to keep the flow of goods moving while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

  • Shift 4 on 4 off, 7pm - 7am
  • Salary £28,500

About the job:

Trailer Loading and Unloading

  • Work on the loading bays to assist with the manual loading and unloading of goods.
  • Prepare and wrap pallets as required for outbound shipments.
  • Check that goods are placed correctly and safely in trailers.
  • Use pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment safely and appropriately.
  • Always follow safe working practices and report hazards promptly.
  • Maintain clean, clear work areas and keep the loading bays tidy and free from obstruction.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and comply with site Health & Safety standards at all times.
  • Work as part of the shift team to meet loading targets and timeframes.
  • Communicate effectively with FLT Drivers and Team Leaders to ensure smooth flow of goods.
  • Be flexible to assist with other warehouse duties during quieter periods, such as basic housekeeping or packaging support.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or loading role (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong awareness of manual handling and safety procedures.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days or nights as assigned).
