Publishing

It was yesterday announced that agreement has been reached between Woodland Group and COMAG to fully acquire the assets of COMAG Forward, so that the post print services provided to its customers can continue to be offered.

With effect from January 1st, 2018, Woodland Group will take on the provision of services including magazine finishing, subscription fulfilment, storage and reverse supply chain activity from the location in Toledo Close, Coventry, having also reached agreement on a long-term lease on the 87,000 square foot premises. Comag Forward will continue to provide these services until 31st December 2017.

Commenting on the acquisition, Woodland Group's Chairman and CEO Kevin Stevens commented: “I am very pleased we are able to continue to provide COMAG's trusted services to its existing customers and I'm confident we will be able to grow this offering further as we combine Woodland Group's and COMAG's expertise, global network and IT capabilities. This forms an exciting step in Woodland's growth and we are looking forward to continuing to build on our all-encompassing, far-reaching services to the magazine industry and beyond."

I am delighted that after all of the hard work that has been invested, we are able, through the Woodland Group, to give our clients continuity, to provide services with the depth of specialised knowledge and experience that we have. This development means that employment opportunities will exist for some of the experienced COMAG Forward staff. Furthermore, the opportunities that working as part of the Woodland Group present are considerable and I’m genuinely excited at the prospect of further developing our client base and service offer.
