Woodlanders and Dewsbury 10k deliver for local initiatives

We keep you moving - Woodland help deliver Dewsbury 10k in support of local causes

On Sunday 6th February, our Woodland Dewsbury team took on the Dewsbury 10K, supporting behind the scenes as well as actively running the race in support of 3 local initiatives.

Woodland Group partnered the Dewsbury 10K to help raise funds for local causes and support by giving out carefully sourced and produced, bpa-free reusable water bottles to keep the runners moving on the day.

Additionally members of the Woodland Dewsbury team decided to take part in the race, coming together to raise additional funds for the life-saving treatment for young Beau - You can find the Justgiving page here.

The team took to the streets on a drizzly Dewsbury day, not only running the 10K but also taking the opportunity to connect with the local community to create meaningful impact both for Beau's campaign, the area and its residents.

Chris Woolfitt, Woodland Group Transport Manager, said "Woodland were the main partner to the Dewsbury 10K, allowing us to support the event’s purpose of raising awareness and funds for 3 local causes we feel very connected to. We are always looking to support and connect with our extended community and make meaningful connections that can deliver positive change".

There's still time to support the team’s efforts in raising funds in addition to the financial support given by the Group, and help support Beau's journey here.
