Update - Montreal strike action

Update to our advisory regarding industrial action at Montreal port.

Following a 19-day strike last year, the Port of Montreal and its unionized labourers agreed to a 7-month labour truce, which would see neither side engage in strike or lockout activity. With the end of the truce fast approaching, ending this Sunday (21st March), tensions are rising as manufacturers and exporters fear renewed strike action.

Some businesses have begun rerouting containers to other ports to avoid potential delays, which could affect transit times and cost. Woodland are preparing measures to ensure minimal disruption to any goods or services moving via the port of Montreal.
