Liverpool dock workers confirm 2 weeks of strike action

Workers at the port of Liverpool have confirmed strike action from September 19th to October 3rd

The 2-week strike in Liverpool follows 8 days of industrial action at the UK’s busiest port, Felixstowe, which ended with no agreement in place. Similarly, the Liverpool strike will see workers walk out in disputes over pay and conditions.

Over 560 dock workers voted in favour of the strikes in a move that will see disruption not exclusive to Merseyside and the North East but supply chains across the whole of the UK and some of Europe as well as Ireland which uses the port as a hub for US shipments.

We are reviewing supply chain impact and alternative options for our clients.
