Italy's Emilia Romagna region impacted as heavy rain leads to fatal flooding

Over recent days, Italy's Emilia Romagna region and parts of Marche have been subject to heavy rainfall which has led to numerous fatalities as well as thousands being evacuated from their homes as towns and villages in the area have been cut off.

Our thoughts are with all those affected at this time.

We are in regular contact with our Italian partners and we continue to support their local efforts, both operationally and in aid of their communities. At present, Woodland's import and export services remain operational, with some localised disruption in the Emilia Romagna region.
