Delays at Heathrow Cargo Facility

We are seeing an increase in airline warehouses struggling to cope with throughput, resulting in long queues for delivery and collection of freight, including at LHR.

Some import arrivals which are normally checked in within a few hours, are currently taking up to a week to be made available for collection, a higher amount of freight than usual is being classed as UTL (Unable To Locate), and some export bookings are being refused due to capacity issues.

Some airlines have now stopped taking bookings, in order to try and give the warehouses a chance to catch up. We understand staffing levels are being reviewed, however, security regulations mean this is not going to be an immediate/quick solution.

We continue to work with the airlines and handling agents to resolve individual situations, and will keep you updated accordingly. Please contact your local Woodland representative to discuss further or reach out to us here.
